The heartbreaking confession of David Ginola’s “life” during the divorce hearing | Celebrity News | Showbiz and television

The football legend was eliminated from I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! last night by the public in a shock decision. He was the favorite to win, with some bookmakers putting his odds at 10/11. Now, however, the three finalists vying to be crowned King or Queen of Gwyrch Castle are Coronation Street veteran Simon Gregson, pop star Frankie Bridge and Emmerdale’s Danny Miler.

Although he was rejected, David won the hearts of both the public and the castle.

Danny said at the start of the show how being in the same space as David fulfilled a dream he didn’t know he had, having idolized the footballer in his youth.

And, each time Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly reveal which celebrity has been voted to take on the next challenge, one or both of the duo slipped in the word “legend” after saying David’s name.

An illustrious career, David spent ten seasons playing football in France for Paris Saint-Germain, before joining Newcastle United.

He was then transferred to Tottenham Hotspur, then to Aston Villa before ending his club career at Everton.

His most notable period in English football was with Spurs, where he made 100 appearances and scored 13 goals between 1997 and 2000.

Having spent the second half of his career playing in the Premier League – seven years – he is highly respected in the UK.

However, the couple continued their divorce battle for another two years over Coraline’s payment.

During a court appearance in 2018, as David gave evidence over a dispute over money, he told a judge at London’s Central Family Court: “I want to be happy in my life.

“I want to have a clear mind every day when I wake up in the morning.”

Eighteen months before the hearing, he had collapsed and had undergone quadruple heart bypass surgery.

Eventually, an agreement was reached between him and Coraline.

She was left with the family mansion at St Maxime on the French Riviera, one of three luxury properties the couple owned.

Their final settlement figure was never revealed, but reports suggest it was in the millions.

Now the couple are believed to be on good terms and are still talking to each other for the sake of their two children.

David has since moved in with 32-year-old French model Maëva Denat.

She too is from the south of France and the couple welcomed a child together in 2018.

Maëva openly expressed her concerns about David’s health at the castle.

She told The Sun on Sunday that she feared for her health after her near-fatal heart attack.

The finale of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here airs tonight at 9pm on ITV One.
