My publisher has been extremely understanding and accommodating of my request for more time, and I do believe the draft on which I am now working will meet the standard I tried to set with the first two novels. But she’s also incredibly arrogant, which makes it somewhat difficult. Was I slightly annoyed at just how strong the young queen became, so quickly? It brought the best elements of the previous 2 books. There is good intent behind Kelsea, and she has a chance to grow into a genuinely strong character.
He started out as this mysterious man to only have his character be tossed out the window and reduced to an exposition character. Seriously, the writing of the series is so stunning. Another reason this series is amazing is because there are soo many life lessons. How would you like to start deleting people and fake ratings to prove your worth. Refresh and try again. I don’t have much to say about him, but I completely loved reading about him and his heroism, and couldn’t write a review without mentioning him. I think this book is marketed as a YA Fantasy, which I think is not. The book was really boring in my opinion but that was the only thing wrong with it.
The Invasion of the Tearling
Despite it all, I thought this book was well-written. All perplexities aside, The Queen of the Tearling was a good attempt at something that had far greater potential. Upon finishing this book, the only thing that came to mind was the word “WOW”. The Tearling is SO creative. Looking at my goodreads updates, it was about page 79 when I started to get a little annoyed with Kelsea. The romance was rather obvious as was the direction this will take in the future.
If you’re going to have two villains, at least make their characters consistent. I read that part a few times because I was not sure if that was really what I read. Penerbit Gramedia Pustaka Utama.
Like, I’m not even upset about his character; Erika Johansen did an amazing job destroying my previous image sinoosis him, and I don’t think that’s easy to do, so bravo. So or time in the future of earth, when the world has gotten so messed up and irredeemable, a man named William Tear gathered up his people along with doctors, scientists, and other citizens of some value, and took them on a huge boat.
We don’t need her. Anyway if a book does not get to the point in the first pages max I will put it down. I understand the need to sell books, but making such absurd comparison as “This is Hunger Games meets Game of Thrones” is totally stupid. She, along with the help of two women from the past, change history, this te crawling out of one character’s mouth and killing? That stupid jerk Anders became the new Holy Father and he did some bad things to people.
If his ‘goodness’ was so overpowering, couldn’t she just have told him to leave the settlement and never come back? Quotes from The Fate of the T Empathy was a major theme throughout. God, dinopsis still hurts me to think about.
Or was humanity merely like the tide, enlightenment advancing and then retreating as circumstances shifted? I did like the idea of it terling set in the future, but reverting to the past, though I’m not sure it was pulled off entirely.
Even though Lily is rich and married to a powerful man, while most the populati 1. I added it to my list because it sounded tbe, and I wanted to check it out.
Alice’s Wonderland: Books “THE HAUNTED”
I am glad there are many out there that loved For me, I didn’t like the ending at all! I mean come one really. Other people are familiar with the necklace, but when it starts doing strange things, she doesn’t question it at all.
And I also like how this book isn’t focused on romance. However, power is a double-edged sword, and small actions can have grave consequences.
The Invasion of the Tearling by Erika Johansen
Jun 26, Nasom rated it really liked it Shelves: Which brings me to my other issue with the book – tealring pace. Im going for 2.
I will definitely be looking for more books by this author. Definitely ready for the third instalment. The Saviour thing got kind of ridiculous after a while. Here we go people, the ending.
The Queen of the Tearling
I loved this book! Other than, they’re just evil. That chapter just never should’ve happened, honestly. Kelsea is a bookaholic… You go girl!
Of course, this really happens and we should talk about it. ANY ending would have been better. The Fetch – AKA: The first half was good and had lots of potential for the remaining half. Those pages could have been used to fix the disastrous ending or answer some of my MANY questions. Kelsea then uses those fucking OP sapphires and talks to William Tear.
