“Shane was found unconscious in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff he could not be revived.

Shane was once the captain of the Australian national team and was widely regarded as one of the greatest bowlers in cricketing history.

“I didn’t introduce her to my kids until it was real and I believed she had a future – it wasn’t just a bit of fun.”

Their relationship caused a media frenzy at the time, of which the cricketer said:

The couple have no children together, but both have children from estranged relationships.

The cricketer had three children with his ex-wife Simone Callahan – Summer, Brooke and Jackson.
