Adele, 33, appeared on the Graham Norton Show on Friday night for the first time in over 10 years. Unsurprisingly, the conversation quickly turned to the last-minute cancellation of his highly anticipated Las Vegas residency, and Graham took the opportunity to poke fun at the debacle.
Towards the end of the show, singer George Ezra performed his new single, Anyone For You, and Graham asked him about an upcoming concert.
Graham told the Shotgun singer: “Are you doing a big live show this summer, Finsbury Park, July 17th?”
An uncertain-looking George threw up his hands and unconvincingly agreed that it was the date for the show.
He then explained, “The thing is, I think you called me for that last time because I wasn’t sure of the specific date. But I really go there every week.

The host then made a quip at Adele’s expense: “And also no artist ever knows when something is happening. Don’t worry about it.
Defensively, Adele turned to Graham and exclaimed, “Yes! I always know when something is happening!
And Graham quickly skewered, “You don’t know when Vegas is happening!”
Fortunately, Adele saw the funny side and burst out laughing.
“It would have been a really half-*** show and I can’t do that. People will see through me on stage and know I didn’t mean to do it.
“I’ve never done anything like this in my life and I’m not going to start now.”
Graham then pointed out that most fans just want to hear Adele’s voice and if she was playing with just “a piano, a light bulb and a microphone”, then people “would have been happy”.
Adele replied: “There was a part of the show that was like that, but I feel like I’ve always had a really good slant with my shows… And I continue every night to love my show because that I know it’s a great show.
“It’s Vegas, it can’t just be me on my fucking guitar. Something else has to be going on.”
Adele didn’t give a specific date for the postponement of the shows, but assured fans it would happen this year.
It comes after Adele stormed into the Brit Awards this week and won three of the four awards she was nominated for.
She won Artist of the Year, Best Single for Easy On Me and Best Pop/R&B Group.
Graham Norton’s show is available on BBC iPlayer.
